Herbed Orange
Rice
This rice is great with poultry, pork, or Asian-themed
meals.
1 cup (or 8-ounce
can) orange juice plus 1 cup water
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/2 teaspoon ground sage
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup rice (or 2 cups instant rice)
1 tablespoon butter (optional)
Cook rice according to package directions, but
substitute orange juice plus water for the liquid called for in
the directions. Add to that liquid: marjoram, sage, basil, and salt.
When rice is done, stir in butter if desired.
Serves 6
