Penne with Ham,
Tomato and Olives
When you want something very easy but full of
taste, this ones a good choice.

ounces penne pasta
One 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
One tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons dried basil
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Two 5-ounce cans ham, drained and chopped
One 2.25-ounce can sliced olives, drained
Real grated Parmesan cheese as garnish (optional) |
Cook pasta as package directs. In a medium saucepan,
heat tomatoes, oil, basil, garlic, sugar, salt, and pepper until
boiling. Toss sauce with drained pasta. Add olives and ham and toss
again to coat. Garnish with Parmesan cheese at serving time if desired.
