Smoked Salmon
Pâté
This is an easy yet elegant starter that appears
to be far more trouble than it is. If you cannot find canned smoked
salmon in your grocery store, add 3 teaspoons Liquid Smoke®
to your regular salmon first.
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon onion powder
One 6.5-ounce can smoked salmon, drained
Crackers, sliced baguette, or cocktail
rye bread
In a small bowl or other container, combine mayonnaise
with onion powder. Add salmon, then purée with hand blender
or food processor. (It purées very quickly.)
Mold or serve in a small bowl with crackers or
bread of choice.
Makes about 1 cup
